As part of a corporate initiative to support employee well-being, I spearheaded the creation of a stress management module to equip employees with practical strategies for coping with workplace stress effectively.

About the process
The project commenced with a comprehensive needs assessment to identify specific learning objectives and the target audience’s needs regarding stress management. A scoping document and relevant personas were created to guide development. Stakeholder input and insights from subject matter experts ensured the module addressed key stress-related challenges faced by employees.
A detailed storyboard was crafted to outline the structure and content flow of the stress management module. This included defined learning objectives aligned with organisational goals and interactive elements to engage learners effectively. Various interactive activities, such as scenarios and quizzes, were planned to reinforce stress management concepts.
The learning content was designed and developed using Adobe Captivate, incorporating interactive slides with engaging multimedia elements. Interactive scenarios presented workplace situations involving stress triggers, prompting users to choose appropriate coping strategies. A quiz served as an end-of-module assessment to reinforce learning. Visual design elements were carefully chosen to enhance engagement and readability.
Accessibility was prioritised, with features like alt text for images incorporated to ensure accessibility for users with disabilities. The reporting capabilities facilitated the monitoring user progress and assessment scores, providing valuable data for evaluation.
The finalised module was deployed to employees via the Learning Management System (LMS), with support and guidance offered to learners as needed.
Metrics on learner engagement and participation were monitored to assess the module’s effectiveness in meeting learning objectives. Feedback from learners and stakeholders identified strengths and areas for improvement. Post-training assessments measured changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours related to stress management, providing valuable insights for future enhancements.
